Hello! I'm Sam, a photographer based in North Yorkshire. I live in a little village between York and Harrogate with my fiancée, two lovely dogs and a nice cat. I only shoot a very select number of weddings per year. The rest of the time I work as a Unit Stills photographer which means I take photographs on film and TV sets. I have been lucky enough to work on some fantastic projects such as Sex Education, Gentleman Jack, Top Boy, Sherwood, Dr Who, The Long Shadow, A Spy Among Friends, Killing Eve, War of the Worlds and The Crown. Earlier this year I loved doing the stills on the film Giant starring Pierce Brosnan. My work has been featured in publications such as Rolling Stone, Vanity Fair, The New York Times, Vogue, GQ, and Time. Style
If you have spent a bit of time looking through my portfolio then hopefully you've got a good idea of the type of photo I like to produce. My wedding coverage would be classed as elegant, joyful photography with a reportage style - a bit of a mouthful! Basically that means I'll get all the important stuff, plus all the candid moments, and you won't really know that I'm there. When I'm on TV and Film sets, I pride myself on being as low key as possible, blending in and not drawing attention to myself and this is how I get such great results at weddings.
If you're looking for elaborate lighting set ups and hours of extravagant couple photos then that's fantastic, but I'm probably not the right photographer for you. However, If you want your photos to be a beautiful, relaxed and in-depth reflection of the best day of your life, then let's chat!
Investment
I offer one wedding photography package which is all-day coverage. I'm there from as early as you want me (usually I'll join the bride and her team as they start to get ready/pop some champagne), and I'll stay until the the party is in full flow in the evening. I want to tell the story of your day, so I think it is important for me to document every special moment. In addition to getting me for the day, I like to meet you via video call in advance so we can get to know each other and I can hear all about your wedding.
